About Pamuuc
Why Pamuuc exists
Pamuuc began with a simple frustration. The clothes we found on the market didn’t reflect the values we cared about. After years inside the fashion world, we had seen too much of what we couldn’t support: overproduction, waste, greenwashing, and people struggling to live from their craft. We asked ourselves if another way was possible. That question became the start of this project.
We’re Ayse and Leo, partners in life and work. We wanted to create a brand we could wear with pride, one that treated people and the planet with the same respect as the finished garment. The name “Pamuuc” comes from the Turkish word for cotton, pamuk. A reminder that everything begins with the fiber, and with care.

How we make clothes
Everything starts with the material. For summer we chose a cotton linen blend: soft, breathable, and European Flax™ certified. Our dyes are OEKO-TEX® certified, keeping harmful chemicals out of the process. For winter we use extrafine Merino yarn spun and finished in Europe, selected for its comfort and lasting shape. These choices are deliberate, never rushed, built on trust.
Production stays close to home. Most steps happen around Barcelona: cutting, sewing, dyeing, embroidery, even the labels. For knitwear, we work with Sompunt, a cooperative in Lleida known for its skill and fair employment. Keeping our supply chain local means we can walk into workshops, know the people behind each piece, and ensure that every step respects both craft and dignity.
Why pre-order, why fewer pieces
We don’t follow trend cycles. Our collections are intentionally small, with timeless fits and colors that live season after season. To avoid overproduction, we rely on pre-orders. When you place an order, we group it with others, plan production precisely, and keep you updated as your piece takes shape.
This way, we make only what is needed. No piles of unsold stock, no waste. It also allows us to keep pricing honest, covering fair wages, certified fabrics, and the real cost of local work without inflated margins.

Our values in practice
Transparency: We share not just the garment, but its story, where the fabric comes from, who makes it, and how it is finished.
Sustainability: Certified low impact fabrics, pre order to reduce waste, and short distances for production.
Fair work: Every person in our chain earns above the legal minimum, works safely, and has their craft respected. We visit regularly to ensure this is reality, not just words.
Simplicity: Fewer, better pieces. Balanced fits, neutral tones, designs that do not expire.
Living with Pamuuc
Clothes are meant to be worn, lived in, and cared for. We design ours with durability in mind, with strong seams, breathable fabrics, and finishes that last. Caring for them is simple. Wash cool, avoid harsh chemicals, and let them age naturally with you. Small marks from the workshop often disappear with a damp cloth. And if you ever need advice, we are here.
We don’t want to be just another fashion brand. Pamuuc is a way of doing things differently, slower, smaller, and more thoughtful. If you’re looking for clothes that respect both people and planet, you’re in the right place.
Thank you for being here.
